KidzSquash goes to Boston and wins TWO TROPHIES
Five members of the CSCC KidzSquash team had their first overnight trip and their first opportunity to play in an organized competition. The tournament was a great success for the program.
Our children were the youngest in the under-13 draw and KidzSquash was also the youngest urban program at the event - having no prior competition experience and being only in our second year!
The victorious members were Angelo Alvarado, Najay Fairweather, Kelsey Grant, Cristal Saunders and Kyle Tam.
"The long term goal of KidzSquash is to produce college-bound squash players with scholarships to private institutions. It is also to continue to promote a safe and fun after-school environment for Poughkeepsie's youth for generations to come," said Ben Oliner, KidzSquash director during a recent interview with the Poughkeepsie Journal.
